My artifact collection

These first two frames represent 10 years of walking the corn fields of North Western Fairfield County, Ohio  1980 to 1990. Not shown are two full shoe boxes of broken ones.

After all the walking done in collecting these I decided to give my legs a break and collect some more by visiting artifact shows, auctions, flea markets, farm sales, etc. I was very disappointed by the number of outright fakes, reworked, and restored flints, and the extreme prices for the obviously ancient ones that I decided to create a collection flint knapping art work by the best contemporary knappers I could find in Ohio and neighboring mid-central states. These works of modern art can be found at 10% of the cost of the ancient ones, and in many cases the flints are made better than the ancient American ever made them. My collection to date follows.
